DIA MUNDIAL EN RECORD DE LES VÍCTIMES D’ACCIDENTS DE TRÀNSIT

Barcelona – 08036 Anne-Lise Cloetta of PAT-AP(A)T wrote: As in previous years, we will celebrate the World Remembrance Day for Road Victims with an inter-religious prayer in Barcelona - with representatives from the Baha’i, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, protestant and catholic communities. The idea of this is that all the communities are affected by the same disaster, so that it is important to create consciousness about this problem amongst all. The interesting thing today is that all are interested in participating and that they are really involved, every year more so. We also think that this celebration it is an emotional and praiseworthy homage to our victims and we prefer to leave our more noisy actions for other days. However our organisations in other parts of Spain celebrate the day in their way. We handed our yearly award to Radio Hospitalet (the Broadcast of the city Hospitalet) for their active interest in road incident prevention. Every Monday morning one of us takes part in their programme on this topic.
