15 November
It is a great pleasure for us for the first time ever to observe World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims on November 15, 2009 in Bangladesh.
Thereafter, every year this Day will be observed by SAFE with a coalition of all committed stakeholders to ensure that road victims will be rescued and receive emergency treatment, and that society will suffer far fewer unnecessary road deaths and injuries in future.
This year, we will kick off with our keep left sticker for pedestrian and emergency first aid for road traffic victims. SAFE seek your permission and support to replicate and promote The Remember Me sign as Road side memorials in Bangladesh.
The Remember Me roadside memorial plaque by RoadPeace, UK’s national charity for road traffic victims, was launched in London on 31st August 2003.
More than 3000 of these plaques have been placed on UK roads, to mark the spot where someone was killed.
